I really thought I'd be better at blogging. But I had a good excuse. I couldn't upload a single picture to this darn computer! We thought our poor Mac had bit the dust. We decided it was just time to go ahead and bite the bullet. Should we go for an iPad, a PC, another Mac? I was bummed that the Mac didn't last longer than about 6 years. We couldn't save anything to it and we couldn't download anything. The hard disk was full but I had deleted just about everything on the computer. So what do you do when you're in trouble and have nowhere to turn for a solution? Yes, I googled it. A helpful website suggested I empty my trash. And so I did. And after my trash deleted 9,000 items we had 56 GB of storage available. Yes, I fixed our Mac. If you can count emptying your trash as "fixing". So, I guess I'm not quite a computer whiz. But I sure know how to use Google.
There's plenty more where this came from...

On Easter Saturday we headed out to check out Papaw and Lynn's new house. We had a nice visit and will have to bring Avery a fishing pole next time! I was in a hurry to get to Easter lunch and got a big, fat speeding ticket on the way home. Other than that, we had a really fun weekend! Nonna was a trooper and cooked lunch for the family. She was feeling so bad that afternoon that she went to the after hours clinic and found out she had the flu. :( Bless her heart! No one else caught it though and the lunch she cooked was delicious!

Although Avery has the Veggie Tales Nativity, she much prefers to pretend with my breakable one. I'm not sure if it's sacrilegious to let her 'play' with the nativity, but it encourages talk about Jesus and the story of His birth, so it is fine by me. Plus, just the other day I heard her correct herself. "Then, the fairy said...no wait, that's not a fairy! Then, the angel said..." I breathed a sigh of relief. I have been driving that point home since last Christmas. Tinkerbell must be marketed by geniuses because in our family, if it flies...it's a fairy.
Ok, where was I? Oh yes, playing...with the breakable nativity. Well, accidents happen I suppose. First it was the cow's horns and now a wise man's head. We could do without the cow, but 2 wise men just isn't right. When I asked her what happened she said, "I'll tell you the trufe (truth). I do not know if I did it on purpose or if I didn't do it." Hmmmm... I guess it's time for a new "hands off" nativity scene!

Alicia, Charlie's cousin, planned a surprise birthday party for his grandma's 70th birthday. So, we headed to Natchez for the big bash. She did a great job planning it and I know Granny felt very loved. She is a special lady and I am lucky to be a part of her life.
