Mommy: Big girls don't drink from sippy's. Does Tina (her sitter) have a sippy?

Well, it's time Avery start to earn her keep. We've decided she can earn a few toys a month by becoming a professional back scratcher. She's pretty good and daddy gives her all the practice she'd like. She gets so tickled doing this.

I don't know what my problem is. Apparently, I forgot my camera at Mark's graduation too. I am so proud of this college graduate. He worked so hard and graduated w/ honors! He is pursuing an MBA and his bachelors degree is in Economics.

These days, it's challenging to bring Avery to a restaurant, especially a fancy one. I've decided the much easier option is for one person to stay behind w/ her. Less stress on everyone! I stayed behind one night on vacation and Charlie did on another. We went to the Half Shell Oyster House in Gulfport and it was DE-LICIOUS! Although I am not an oyster eater, that ribeye sandwhich was right up my alley! YUM!

Have I mentioned that I have a child who lovvves a good cupcake. Last weekend, she went to see Nonna and Poppa for a few days. Nonna asked her if she needed a new toy and she replied "Uh huh!" (That's Southern for yes). Nonna asked what kind of toy she needed and she said "A cupcake. A pink cupcake!" This is typical. The child loves her cupcakes. And after having cupcakes from Frosting and Curl's...who can blame her? I am really trying not to use this as a tool for bribery, but with our potty training mishaps lately, it is a challenge.

Sick Lil Sweetie

We have a sick little princess. She's had a stomach virus since early Monday morning and I'll spare you all the details, but her fever hit 104 last night on the digital thermometer. We got it down, but the doctor wanted to see her. He said that she should be admitted so we are at the hospital. After a few hours on an IV, she's asking for a pink cupcake (which is a huge deal, considering she has eaten 1/2 a cracker since Sunday night! I anticipate we'll be heading home tomorrow after the blood work checks out. I have some posts scheduled and will talk to y'all in a few days. As Beth says, we covet your prayers!

Princess

Avery is very into being a princess lately. She'll walk into the room w/ a tiara on (backwards) holding her little wand saying "Pin-ceh!!!" The other day when she did this I thought, all she needs now is a dress. My wedding dress is in my hope chest in our bedroom and very accessible. I dug it out and let her stand in it. Wear it wouldn't be the wording to use, because she couldn't move! She loved it though and definintely felt like a real princess. And we wonder why little girls grow up dreaming of their big wedding day in their big white dress? I still love this dress, too bad I can't wear it anymore!

I don't know what's gotten into me lately. We've baked brownies, cookies and muffins in a 3 day period! I'm pretty sure I can blame it on the matching aprons. Avery wakes up every morning insisting that we put them on and I think its so adorbale to cook w/ her in them. This time it was sugar cookies! Since I only had red and green icing, and Christmas cookie cutters, they were definitely Christmas cookies. By the time it was over, we both suffered from sugar overload. But it was worth it to make little memories like baking
