Not Me Monday

It's that time of the week again, head on over to MckMama's blog to find out how to start your own!

1. I did not come to work an hour early today to pay bills and write this blog. How ridiculous would that be. I mean, don't I have a perfectly good Dell Laptop at home that I just paid a ridiculous amount for only 4 short months ago? Well...NO!

2. My laptop did not crash this weekend. I did not spend hours on the phone with Dell, who by the way I CANNOT understand, only to be told it 'sounds like' a virus and my ridiculously-expensive-good-for-nothing warranty doesn't cover it.

3. I did not sit on hold with Dell when they informed me over the automated system "For a small fee each month you can have your call answered in 2 minutes or less AND speak to a representative in North America!"

4. I was not so disgusted with Dell, and the language barrier, that while being placed on hold to be transferred yet again, I did not say into the phone "MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, IF COMPANIES LIKE DELL WOULD HIRE PEOPLE IN AMERICA TO TAKE THESE CALLS I COULD ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND ONE OF THEM B/C THEY SPEAK OUR LANGUAGE. AND MAYBE THE COUNTRY WOULDN'T BE IN THE SHAPE IT'S IN IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO CALL MANILA EVERY TIME I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT ANYTHING!" Well, apparently I was on mute and not hold because my call was promptly disconnected. Charlie has won the fight: Apple beats Dell any day. Now we'll have to see how long it takes for him to convince me to go to Baton Rouge and buy a Mac. Hmmm....

5. I did not just have my yard landscaped b/c the weather was so nice and we live in the South so it was probably going to stay nice, only to wake up to freezing temperatures this morning. My poor, pitiful flowers!

Have a great day people. Oh, and don't use my Yahoo mail, since I can't check it. Gosh, I just love Dell! :(

Wish you were closer so we could fix that ol' laptop for you! This is just the sort of thing my hubby would rock at! How did Avery's sleeping go this weekend?

Did you Dad just say under LA and God at the end like they have to do? I sure can't remember. But ugh I really don't want to get the blood test, plus MS doesn't do the covenant marriage so if we decide to go through with that one we won't have the option in MS.

Sounds like we are in the same boat, because my laptop crashed last week. Ugh...its such an annoyance to actually use the COMPUTER LAB at school, the one I was too good for, for awhile at least! Haha joking of course, but my laptop IS screwed, I think its a virus. I guess it figured since everyone I know is sick right now, well then it should be too! Ha!

what in the world?! I didn't know that about Dell! And their message about paying for better Customer Service...seriously!
Is it too late to get your money back?!

PS-I put things off til I get to work too...I feel like I have a better chance to stop and think than when I'm home and doing my duties!

daniel had a dell when we first started dating and less than a year later it completely crashed. then we bought another desktop from dell three years ago. within a couple of months we had several problems with it but dell only insisted it was a virus. after spending $200 for a warranty, they told us that we had to buy another "special" warranty because our's only covered a broken keyboard and such (for $200???). so daniel figured out how to completely wipe out the hard-drive and that's what we have to do every time it starts acting up.

so needless to say we won't go down the dell route again. i bought an hp pavillion ($600) from best buy over a year ago and i LOVE it. it's really fast and i've had no problems with hardware or viruses.

just an affordable option to consider :)

Sorry about your computer! That really stinks. I have a friend who's great with computers. I always call him when I need help. How about any of your friends? Could they help you get it fixed?

Hope the rest of your week gets better!

blessings...

We had a Dell and it crashed, but shortly before that we bought a Mac and LOVE it! I would highly recommend a Mac!

I am officially stopping all my complaints against my Mac. At least it works! (even if it is in Greek!) Yep. THe bow is from Etsy. I was going to contact that chick and see if I could have a home party type thing and sell them for her. I think folks around here would LOVE them. Did you know I almost commented on your yard the other day? It looked fabulous! Oh, I dont' know the addy for the barrette. I'd just search felt barrettes. That is usually what I search and likely how I found her. Maybe monogrammed barrettes!?

as for Avery's tight muscles. Keep doing the exercises I said. As her ankles loosen up, her thighs will follow suit! Melanie

I googled the covenant marriage thing when I was finding out about the blood test and I know MS doesn't do it. Go figure. I think they should make everyone get one since its so much harder to get out of. It's sick how people treat marriage like its dating these days and are married 5 times. After the 3rd they should hand cuff them together haha.

I know what you mean though, when I was in town Friday Mom was picking on Dad and asking him what he was supposed to say when he gave me away. I can't wait to see what comes outta his mouth, hopefully with all the people he will have a shy moment.

I emailed MckMamma to find our more about the cruise. If I could find another "girl" friend who could go maybe we could ride to Galveston with you and your Mom! It would be so much fun and do the girl-thing! I could really use that today!

Oh- that stinks! Our last laptop crashed after about 2 yrs- and now we have an hp and I really like it. I am just wondering if the life of a laptop is way shorter when it is heavily used. I have several friends who have had theirs crash after around a year. Stinks for so much money spent.

Sounds like a busy week! If you are close to Baton Rouge, then you aren't too terribly far from me. We live in Beaumont, Tx. Imagine if our "Avery's" ever had a play date one day... course mine only weighs about 8 1/2 pounds right now so it would be awhile!
