A Day at the Park!

One nice, Spring Saturday, we headed out to a local park. Avery loves the park but, of course, HATES to leave! It seems like if I take her alone, she is not afraid to have a full meltdown during the leaving process, but if daddy is there, she tends to suck it up and only lets a few tears fall during the walk to the car. It is amazing the different way she handles things, depending on who is there! We are loving this Spring weather and trying to soak it all in before its too hot to breathe outside. Believe me, it will be here before ya know it!

"No time for pictures mom, let's go over there!"

Avery w/ her best friend - Daddy!

Swinging always starts out calm, and I was hoping she would enjoy it if daddy was doing the pushing, but...
It ALWAYS ends badly! Somewhere between sitting and pushing and swinging, something scares her every time!
We had such a fun time at the park and here she is sucking it up and making that terrible trip back to the car!

Wow, she looks so big in these pics. She is growing. Love the one with daddy and daughter holding hands and walking to the car. Something special about it.

Alise you to do me the same way. She'd push my buttons, but when her Daddy was around she acted so much better. Get use to it. It's still that way!

It is so bizarre that you say that. Sunday afternoon I took Baylee to the park alone. Carl was helping a friend so he didn't come. We stayed for almost 2 hours and when time came for us to leave she had a full out screaming meltdown/temper tantrum.Never in a million years would she have acted in that manner had Carl been present. Blows my mind. She had her first REAL punishment after that incident! What are we going to do when they are TEENS?? Frightening!

LOL! I love how she tries to be a big girl for daddy! That's awesome! Have you tried her in the big swings? Addy won't sit in the baby swing at the park anymore. Now that her swing set has big swings that's what she wants & has learned to hold on tight. Give it a shot next trip.

So what is wrong with staying a little longer?? Poor baby! hehehe Oh and I remember a little girl who when somthing was suggested by her mama, she would be totally against it, but if Daddy made the same suggestion it was "Do you really think so daddy? OK..." Hmmmm

Avery will catch on with the swing...just give her a little more time. :-)
