Today Avery is 1 1/2 years old! Nonna stopped by with a cupcake on her way out of town. So, although I missed the mini-celebration (Avery is with gigi, I'm at work), that is probably for the better. Cupcakes are my weakness. Nonna says Avery looks much better today - yay! Maybe she will go back to daycare tomorrow? I know she misses her friends! What an amazing, wonderful, miraculous year-and-a-half we've had with our sweet princess. She is by far my biggest accomplishment and the joy of my life. There is nothing else like it in this world. Gosh, I love looking at "growing up" pictures! She is still beautiful and I am glad that she seems to be feeling better!
I love the monthly pics! Look how far she's come since that first night! So tiny! I'd seen preemies through nursery windows before, but never up close and until you do--- you really can't appreciate how small and fragile they are! I still can't get over them letting me and Shelbi back there the first night. I've always wanted to see a 3D or 4D sonogram and never got to, but seeing Avery when she should have still been inside of you was even more awesome. That was amazing!
BTW That bath picture at 2 months is still one of my favorites. It looks so sweet and tender. =)

happy year and a half avery!!! even after seeing her in the nicu a MONTH after she was born i still couldn't believe how a baby could be so tiny outside of the mom, now look at her! God is good =)
