Busy, busy

Well what a busy week I've had...amazingly I seem to be getting everything done that I planned! And Avery's big birthday bash is fast approaching. Today I'm meeting with Early Steps to decide if Avery is still eligible for the program. I'm not too sure what I think about that. On one hand, if she is eligible I will be grateful for the continued PT and early interventionist. On the other, if they decide she is completely normal, that would be exciting as well! So, we will see...

I made an amazingly wonderful DVD slideshow, complete with music, and it was GREAT (I cried watching it) but I popped it in my DVD player and it wouldn't work. So, I figured I'd try again but my wonderful husband had gotten on the phone with Dell (yes, still problems, after the new hard drive with my NEW laptop...ugh!) and apparently Charlie is blaming it on Dell, but the slideshow that was saved to the computer won't play. So I'm trying to decide if it is worth spending more hours putting it together and getting it to play. I had also decided to make a lot of copies of the DVD and pass them out with a note as party favors (since most of our guests will be adults, I doubt they'll appreciate a cheap princess wand, hehe!) So, if anyone has an idea of why it didn't work I would LOVE to know - it worked on the computer fine, but not on the DVD player. I am using Phillips DVD RW.

Also - thanks to Dewana for teaching my crazy self how to get the header bigger!

Hey is it a +RW or -RW. I know on our ultrasound machine a work has to have a +RW to record. I don't know if that will make a difference with yours or not.

If you figure it out, let ME know! I made a sideshow for Kindergarten grad. It would only play on my DVD player, and none at the school. So, Larry took mine to the school and played it graduation night. Then I tried to figure out how to put it on one that would play on any DVD player, so the parents could all have a copy. I must've redone it and burned it several different times and still haven't figured it out, so I'm looking at having the same problem this year.

Good luck with this...one of the reasons I am trying to get away from this...I didn't use the DVD programs enough and then before you know it there was some computer problem that affected it.

What program are using? I find less problems with CD programs versus DVD shows.

Casey we had the same problem. We have decided do burn them on just plain dvd-R. That seems to work, then you don't have to worry about finding a DVD player that read +RW or-RW. Hope it works..

I am sorry about the problem. That is so frustrating when you work so hard and long to lose it. I am sure it was beautiful and wish I could have had that favor. Love ya. Mom

Hey! I know it is so close...by this time next week we should have our little princess!! We got to see a little of her face today when she turned, enough to see that she has big lips!

Lunch sounds good...unfortunately I am going back to work this week! I get a whole hour but never take the whole hour and I was thinking about quiznos earlier today! What time do you normally go? I pretty much make my own schedule right now...they are just glad that I am coming back to work! Ha!
